Turning off the Tube

While reading yesterdays Toronto Star, the A&E section had a front page story about TV Turn-off Week, which starts tomorrow and runs until the 30th. The whole point is of course for all of us to turn off the TV and well smell the roses, be healthier, blah, blah, blah....The story in the paper actually had 97 quotes from various characters on television, it was quite funny. If you can, pick up the paper and read for yourself.
I will be perfectly honest, their is no way I could turn off the TV for an entire week. No Prison Break, 24, Letterman, General Hospital, etc. I would go crazy. However, that being said, I do understand that I also watch way too much TV and that thinking about what we are doing is a good thing.
Founded in 1994, TV-Free America is a not-for-profit organization that encourages adults and children to watch less television. You can check out their website at http://www.tvturnoff.org/.

I don't think I could go a week without watching tv as well.
I could probably do it but I'd have to tape all of my regular shows (all CSI's, all L&O's, Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Crossing Jordan & so many others). I would end up watching double the tv the next week so really it hasn't done anything. So I will watch them all this week.
I must say that I don't watch too much tv during the day. I have also not put the tv on for Brennan too much. He does watch Blue's Clue's sometimes but that is only when I put it on.
"Great job" for those that do it!
