My Baby Has Arrived!

OK, so I didn't have a real baby.

Of course, I am talking about my super awesome new car! Its a 2007 4-door black G5.

It feels so nice driving a new car compared to that olde clunker, let me tell yah. I got my car with a few little added features on it. It has a sunroof, remote starter, spoiler, power locks/mirrors, keyless entry (how does anyone live without this feature?) and it came installed with XM satelite radio (free 90 day trial). I have to say I am really enjoying the satelite radio, there are all kinds of music genres on their and it just feels like background music but better somehow.

What can I say, really. I love my new car! Its such a pleasure to drive and to have a quiet cabin ride with air conditioning that works and be able to listen to a CD if I want to.

Sorry for no pics of it, but they take too long to upload on my computer, next thing to buy, a new computer.

Hopefully I will see some of you soon enough and you can see my new car in person.

Happy motoring!

Test Driving

Today Liz, Brian and myself motored up to Uxbridge to test drive a couple of vehicles at the Williamson GM dealership (plus they wanted to go to the open house of this small engines place to look at 4-wheelers, they are thinking of buying one).

So, I took out the Pontiac G5 and then the G6 afterwards. I have to say between those two vehicles, I much preferred the G5 (for those who do not speak Car, its the replacement of the old Sunfire, similar in size to the car I presently drive). I really liked the way it felt compared to the G6, when I was in the G6 I felt as if I was sitting on the wheel (we think its because the console is higher up then the one in the G5).
The price I got on one includes a fully loaded one, sunroof, remote starter, power locks, sterring wheel controls. Plus I can get a GM employee discount (Brian's parents are former GM workers and I can use their #) and another discount (which I was very surprised about) is my old clunker I am driving I can get $1,000 for it. Its part of this Car Heaven program, as long as the car is drivable and I have had it for at least 6 months, its good for the discount.

I gotta tell ya, it felt sooooooo nice driving a car that doesn't sound like its about to die and the AC actually works! It's going to be pretty tough getting into olde bessy there on Monday morning.
Now I am just trying to figure out whether or not to buy new or try and find the same car slightly used (like a 2006). Liz has a friend who owns a used car dealership in Oshawa, and he can probably find one (you just have to be patient) with low kms and a lower price, but the interest rate will be higher and I won't be able to use any of those discounts. So, I have some thinking to do, plus of course, this doesn't mean I won't test drive other vehicles.

Test driving is half the fun!

Lunches

Most of you probably don't know, but I only have a half an hour for lunch at work every day. So, of course, I need to bring a lunch with me every day.
Now, I like a good sandwich as much as the next person, my sandwiches are usually whole wheat bread, mustard, turkey breast and swiss cheese. Good eatin!
But man cannot live on sandwiches alone, and I am going to get tired of eating them pretty soon I imagine. So I am in need of creative lunch ideas. A lot of my co-workers bring frozen entrees, but I always worry about the calories in those things, not to mention the sodium.
So, if anyone has lunch ideas, let me know.
