The Dream is Over...again

Well its all over but for cleaning out the lockers. Yes of course I am speaking of the Toronto Maple Leafs, who finished off the season tonight with a victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins 5 to 3, at the ACC. For those who were keeping track, the Leafs were officially eliminated from the playoffs on saturday night after the Tampa Bay Lightning won their game, even though the Leafs won against their arch rivals the Ottawa Senators.It was simply too little, too late.

So, alas their will be no Stanley Cup parade down Yonge street, no Leaf Nation cheering in the streets after each playoff victory, no happy bar owners, and only disappointed CBC executives.

Oh well, as we seem to say alot, maybe next year!
